Yes, I was in PWTC last weekend to experience it myself, the very well-organized Youth ‘09.  Youth ‘09 is Malaysia’s Largest Youth Lifestyle Festival c0-organized by Youthsays & YouthMalaysia on the 9th – 11th January 2009.  Having  great supports from numerous prestigious sponsors &  the Ministry of Youth & Development of Malaysia, thumbs up from the more than 10,000 youths from the same festival in previous year, this year Youth ‘09 came back as huge as before, only better.

registratioI have never regretted to be a registered Youthsays.com member. As a member, I was entitled to obtain a free pass, skip the queue &  for every registration we’re given heaps of freebies!

These are quite a number of pics I took throughout the festival. There are a lot of good pics that I took from almost every corner of the festival, too many actually to describe them one by one so I will just let the pictures do the talking.from-pwtc

A day @ Sunway Lagoon

November 29th, 2008
After few days of shopping spree in the major shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur, we took a bus from the Pasar Seni Bus station to Sunway Pyramid and walk our way to one of Malaysian favourite theme park which is just a stone throw from Sunway Pyramid shopping mall. The entrance fee for an adult with Mykad is Rm 48 + Rm 10 refundable deposit.

Disappointment hits me when I realised that the theme park had really aged and some of their rides had either been removed or ceased from functioning. I remembered ten years back my parents brought me here I used to see a huge roller coaster just right in front of the entrance but today it has been removed due to unknown reason.

However, they did add new “flavour” to the their park with 3 new  themes. The Scream Park, Xtreme Park and Wildlife Sanctuary. We only have few hours to spend in the theme park so we ought only  for Theme Park + Wet Park ticket. These are few photos that we took during our trip to the lagoon.

Off we go to the wet park where most of the visitors spent their time. You can see behind the lagoon is Sunway Pyramid and to the left is Sunway Hotel Resort.

We had a nice day in Sunway Lagoon. Despite the thrills and chills in the lagoon, I came to realised that, no matter how young and how old are we, the human, we still need to have fun and relaxation. A theme park like Sunway Lagoon plays an important role in fostering relationship and creating wonderful memories for youngsters and even adult like me.

Chinatown @ Kuala Lumpur

November 28th, 2008

Petaling Street or commonly known by local as Chi-Cheong-Kai is a Chinatown located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is infamous for pirated clothes and accessories along with bootleg DVDs and CDs. Petaling Street however does not exclusively offer pirated products. Haggling is a common sight here and the place is usually crowded with locals as well as tourists.

On the first night of our arrival in KL, we made an courtesy ;-) visit to Petaling Street to scout for local Chinese food. We spotted alot of restaurants that are still running in pre-war buildings and alongside there are several stalls selling food, fruits, flowers and many more.

A stall which is operating in front of an “Double A” photocopy shop interest us with their signboard which wrote “Famous Claypot Rice”. We decided to have a try there and here what we ordered:

 Famous Claypot Rice.

This hawker stall sell cook-on-the-grill fish with fancy names such as “France” Fish, “Spanish” Fish and etc. We settled with Spanish Fish. It was spicy & sour. The fish was so tenderly and soft. I highly recommend this dish to those who like spicy food.

We had a nice food dining in a “pre-historic” environment while enjoying the sight of busy traders promoting their counterfeit goods.

BAR.B.Q Plaza @ Sunway Pyramid

November 28th, 2008
Nature of Business Bar B Q Plaza is a self-cooking Mongolian-and-Japanese-style barbecue restaurant. They focus on the selection of high-quality meats and vegetables which customers can enjoy grilling by themselves. Taking part in cooking like this makes dining at Bar B Q Plaza becomes an enjoyable experience. The meal is also accompanied by specially prepared sauce, which tastes just right for grilling food

I went with Bell and my brother to one of BBQ Plaza’s outlet in Sunway Pyramid. We ordered a set of Family Mixed Set (RM41.90) which came in two plates with chunks of chicken meat, a few slices of fish, shrimps, udon, baby corn, and generous amount of Chinese cabbage.

In the second plate, there were slices of pork tenderloin, luncheon, and (repetition from above) generous amount of Chinese cabbage.
Bar B Gon is the mascot of Bar B Q Plaza. He is a cute cheerful dragon that is friendly to children. He likes delicious food and can eat much food at a time. Bar B Gon is the symbol of the delicious taste of Bar B Q Plaza food. They even have their own mascot which is Bar B Gon. He is described as a cute cheerful dragon that is friendly to children and likes delicious food and can eat much food at a time. Bar B Gon is the symbol of the delicious taste of Bar B Q Plaza food.

I found this hilarious commercial of BBQ plaza in youtube. Hope you guys enjoy it. :)
