Yesterday was the Stars of Romance, Curtin University Sarawak Campus’s Prom Night 2009. Organized by the student council of the year 2009.

There wasn’t much to talk about the programme actually, as this SNOOZING orchestra was performing from the beginning of the dinner till the late dinner.

It’s not us who almost fallen asleep but I guess, the performers were the one bearing the pain of loneliness on top of the stage.

This year’s programme run up was SUPERBLY dull, as I can remember the Emcee only came out thrice during the 2 hours dinner. (like K-Thks-Bai)

Its partially true partially not.

The part where I wrote “dedicated-ly” on the bad experiences that I had in some food outlet was true.

The busted myth was that they did not sue me.

There’s one guy that left a comment on my blog post. He insisted that I should complaint about the quality of the food that I had at pizzahut.

So I took his advise & I lodged a complaint via a feedback form that is everly available on www.pizzahut.com.my .

They (the Miri branch Pizzahut ) did ring & apologize for their mistakes & even offer me for a replacement meal F.O.C.

I told them I did not want a F.O.C. meal but what we – the customers wanted was the betterment & improvement of your food & services.

He said okay, sorry we’ll try our best to improve. Lets hope this really gonna happen.

Although it wasn’t true that I got sued by PizzaHut, I’m really glad that some of my friends…show some sincere cares.  They came out with some touching SMSs. This is one of them. Thank you!

No, it was just an April Fool Joke. I promise, won’t do that to you guys anymore.
Thanks haha.

I also owe some people my apology.

She shredded few drops of unnecessary tears when she read April’s 1st post & dashed to my room as immediate as she finished it. Ooops.. Not gonna tell who.. LoL

The last but not least,

My dad called me too.

“I heard you got sued? Why they sued you?” , asked Dad.

Haha.

Curtin Uni. Open Day

Its gonna be held 4th April 09.  Yea, that’s 4.4.09 – what a bad date.

This year, Curtin is celebrating its 10th year’s anniversary of its establishment in Sarawak.

I heard its going to be a grand.

Lets warm up with some scenic photos at Curtin.

 

So here’s some rumours I heard

 

There’ll be an opening ceremony of Phase-II buildings.

Launching of Phase III by the Prime Minister. 

Lots of food.

Lots of games & activities line up from 10 – 8.30pm.

Lots of prizes to be won too! 

Oh, did I mention.

That these didn’t include one Compaq Notebook for lucky draw’s winner.

Burning midnight oil and last minute study are nothing new for university students. The past 24 hours(Nov 3rd), I just had a short nap from from 5.30 p.m to 7.00p.m and stayed awake until 6a.m.

7.30p.m, I woke up and headed to Lutong Cafe for breakfast which we had planned earlier last night, just only for the legendary Lutong Cafe’s porridge.

Rumours had spread around from the mouths of those whom had been here for the famed porridge that this place is usually packed in the morning and infamous waiting time for the porridge to be served. And yes, its indeed true. Lutong Cafe was fully packed when we arrived here but with a little bit of luck, we get to reserve a table for ourselves. Lutong Cafe’s legendary porridge is deliciously served with your choice of either chicken egg or preserved duck egg. The different with the porridge sell here is that it is cook with charcoal fire which is a traditional way to produce thick porridge.

For those who are not a porridge lover, there are also vast variety of choices ranging from “char kueh teuy” to hand-made “Ban Mee” to fill your stomach without having to dig deeper into your pocket.

Nai Yu Pai Gu – Pork Ribs with butter.

I went there last few weeks for dinner. However, only its main restaurant is open for business. Lutong Cafe’s restaurant offers ample choices of Chinese delicacies at a reasonable price.

Their signature tofu dish.

Local fern. Midin.

Some take education and to excel in studies as their sole target in their university life, some consider university life as a joyful moment. But for some people like me,both studying and enjoying are equally important. So for the those who can, study bloodily smart and play as hard as you can. So to the fellas out there, take your every opportunity to enjoy your University Life!

The remarkable experience from my first appearance in Curtin’s Prom Nite is that this year’s prom nite (2008) was organized precisely grand and perfectly match it’s theme. “Night of Elegant”. The food was great, and I had a pleasant evening and a splendour night.
