Mr Ho’s Fine Foods

I realized I haven’t blog about the food that I’ve prepared for my love one on Valentine’s Day. I found out these pics from the archives dated almost a month ago. We’ve always wanted to try the sausages & hams from Mr Ho’s Fine Foods – (not a typo
its actually spelt Foods) since the first time we went there a few months ago. So we went & bought some sausages & hams from the outlet. We’re quite amazed by the friendliness of their waiters & waitress. Such tiny little manners & greetings were priceless. Talking about this, I wasn’t sure if anyone else suspect this but I kinda realize that more & more establishments in Miri regardless of the range of their services, there weren’t as professional as before where customers are their priority. Nowadays, these tauke-s, tauke-nios & even their workers of certain shops have the guts to be rude towards the customers.

Well, that’s it for the unfriendly customer services. Coming back to the food. We had 1 sausage each, slices of pineapple ham & smoked ham from Mr Ho’s. The sausages tasted very nice. Once you poked with forks, all the cheese flows out from it
Yummy! I particularly favours the pineapple ham rather the smoked one. In addition to the food from Mr Ho’s, I prepared some chicken stew marinated with HP sauce, Heinz Low Fat baked beans, dwarf-ted carrot & tomatoes & a bit of vegetable salads with broccoli.
Lust vs Love.
I haven’t indulge in “red meat” for quite sometimes since I ingurgitated half a month ago at Dynasty Hotel’s (Miri) buffet dinner. My lust for ruffled with my appetite again. But this time my lust overruled the tussle and won themselves a home cook lamb chop by – me.
And here is list ingredients and the cost for this dinner.
Total : Rm 9.46

What’s for dinner? Burger Monster.
I’m bored of having rice for dinner tonight. My stomach was craving for something special. So I thought I could feast on something big, and something juicy perhaps.
I remember I went to Siamese Restaurant Miri to ate a king-sized burger and thought this could fit my appetite tonight.
Thus the appetite burst in my stomach prompted me to craft a ……………. burger monster. +-).
Here’s how it was custom made.
Mix broth – soy, salt, sugar, garlic and black pepper in dish. Add chicken thigh and turn it to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Pre-heat the pan with some extra virgin olive oil.. well, u could use any kinds of cooking oil to your preference..
Remove chicken thigh from marinade and shake off excess; discard remaining marinade. Cook chicken thigh on the preheated grill for approximately 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until the juices run clear and there are no signs of pink in the meat.
Enrich the chicken thigh with some honey…let it cook until it turn golden brown..
While waiting for the chicken thigh to be cooked..
You can prepare the bun and the dressings…
Stir-fried some chopped onion with the excess oil and gravy from the cooked chicken thigh.
Remove the chicken thigh from the pan after it turned golden brown. At this very moment, believe me, and u can have my words…. you could by now smell an ..irresistible aromatic scent of the cooked chicken thigh.
This is the shot from the top..
Ta da.. lol.. Done.. Lastly, place some tomatoes and cucumbers for dressings.
For my own record, I jolted down the ingredients and time I took to prepare the burger.
