Recap of the year 2008
31/12/08 Error : Spellings Corrected
1. Vice President Elect

The year 2008 was quite a good year for me as there were a lot of good things happening in my life. Earlier this year I was elected as the 1st Vice President of Leo Club of Curtin University.I was entrusted to undertake & organize most of the major events of Leo Club. It was an honour to serve the club as a Vice President. I learnt & improved alot from the activities and opportunities given to me organize the events. Thanks for the guidances and supports from the Lions, Leos & friends.
2. The 2 books that I bought this year.

I had always read about the survey of Malaysian reading habit. I’m not sure if it is coincidental or that the survey is very much accurate because it was mentioned in the survey that the Malaysian read an average of only 2 books per year- that is the books read out of the classroom. I bought 2 books which one of it is the Fortune & Fengshui by Lilian Too & her daughter Jennifer Too. I’m not going to do any free promotion of this book here
but I do recommend this book to you as a guide for your next year’s feng shui.

How To Use The Internet to Earn Money! Bought my first internet entrepreneur guide for an whooping Rm43.90 . It was way over price& this book was not as resourceful as I’ve imagine. I was like a scam internet article that will prompt you to buy another book & another & another & another book from each book so that you can continue to read more craps…
3. Prom night

Having missed the chance to attend the prom night last year. I went to my first prom dinner of Curtin University this year. It was a spectacular night. There are more photos available here.
4. Vacation in KL

It was a last minute call from my mum to me to fly to KL so that I can accompany her and guide her for an airport detour - from LCCT to KLIA. Sounds weird ain’t it? My mum was actually sceptical to take the detour alone because she reckoned that it was a tough thing to do as she never flown alone to KL.

So I flew to KL with my gf while my bro flew from Sibu. We met at LCCT.

My sis was having a semester break so she took a bus from Kedah to KL to meet us.

Rachel was our part time tour guide
. She brought us to have the best “Vinegar Pork Leg” & “Yong To Fu” in Cheras with her grandparents.

Had the ride of my life in Sunway Lagoon that nearly took my heart away.

I meant it seriously. I grabbed the safety handle so hard that I almost cramped my arms. Imagine that.
5. Life as a blogger
I only became a more frequent blogger since this year..
I was blogging & I’m still blogging on a free site http://kelvinsse.blogspot.com
I got a domain for my blog. www.kelvinsse.com
Brought a Sony Digi Cam which I used to take most of the photos.

Since then it became one of my most important procession other than my pillows.

Took quite a lot of photos at the beach.

Every photos taken were unique in a way. It represents every moment that past through which you can never gain back.
6. Spending X’mas away from home.

Since my gf has to spend 3 months to complete her internship in Miri. So I thought I could find some job while accompaning her.

Anyways, we bought a X’mas tree to lit up the X’mas spirit at home.

I brought my gf to buffet dinner @ Imperial Mall ..so that she could have a wonderful night out & enjoy a great dinner on X’mas eve even we’re not at hometown. See how happy she is

2008 is coming to an end & new year 2009 is coming ahead.. Wish you all a Happy New Year!
Cadbury Gold with Apricot, Walnut & Wafer

It is a bad habit of mine that I always visualize myself eating something while watching a movie, drama or etc. As long as I’m in front of a TV or in my case now, which I’m in my rented house with only my computer available for watching movies, I’ll always desire for some snacks to fill my mouth. Without snacks, watching movie is like an imperfection. So yesterday during my day out for shopping, my gf spotted a special edition of Cadbury Choco, we thought should give it a try.

They were two flavoures for us to choose; apple flavour & apricot flavour. We ought for the Apricot Flavoured Cadbury Gold.
Cadbury Gold is thinner than the usual choco bar of the same brand.

It was totally crunchy & compacted with lots of walnut. But the only bad was that they weren’t much apricot in the bar. Overall, I like the crunchiness of the wafer.
Christmas Day Dinner

Merry Christmas to you all! My gf & I had an extraordinary dinner on Christmas Day at Jong’s family house.

Another awesome meal by Ni Ni Jie! We had lamb shanks, spaghetti, coleslaw , garlic bread and wine for tonight’s dinner.

Ni Ni Jie if you read my blog. I wish to let you know that you’re one wonderful cook, the food was DE-Li-Ci-OuS & we indulged in your cooking!
Christmas Eve Buffer Dinner @ Imperial Hotel, Miri

There were heaps of eating establishments & hotels in Miri that are running Christmas promotions and advertisements in local newspaper. With these lots of choices to choose for Christmas eve dinner. Finally I made my decision to try out Imperial Hotel’s Christmas eve dinner with my gf.
There were varieties of appertisers to start up your dinner.
Japanese Soba.

Crafted Water Melon – Inside : One yellow & the other red watermelon juice.

The dinner was an international buffet that is there were mixed cultural food including Japanese, Western & Oriental.

We’re spoilt with heaps of mouth watering cakes sweet bits!

These were a snap of the food we took of our first round of dinner. – A bit of everything

The diners were presented with a band of performers heralding Christmas songs. To be honest, most of the diners were too busy to eat their food rather than enjoying their performance.
Anyway the perfomances were entertaining.

Kelvinsse.com wishes you a Merry Christmas. Cheers!
Dong Zhi Festival

Yesterday evening I had one joyful family reunion with my gf’s relative. A few (6 in exact) of us but huge portion of delicious food were served.

“Nan Lu” Fried Chicken Wings.

Japanese Tofu with Minced Pork & Salted Fish.

Asam Fish with Mix Vegetables.

This dish is unknown for me yet but the taste was fantastic!

Here’s a photo of the Jong’s family that I celebrated Dong Zhi Festival with. The food was speechlessly wonderful and I had a pleasant evening of family reunion!
