New First Choice Cafe Centre

October 17th, 2008 kelvinsse No comments

New First Choice Cafe Centre is one of Miri’s hot spot for food seekers. This shop’s location is rather isolated from the main road so for those who are not familiar with the roads in Miri, I personally suggest that you bring along a local friend to guide you the way.

It’s speciality, the famous fish curry. As we sat down, the proprietor questioned us, “curry?”. It may sound funny for the first timer here but you will notice that every tables that are occupied usually served with their signature clay pot fish curry.

New First Choice’s serves mild curry just hot enough for curry lover like me.

This establishment is certainly the first choice for curry lover and it is a norm that this place is fully packed in the evening during weekends.

I went to Warung Najua today to survey what this place has to offer. This time we did not order much as I just had dinner few hours ago. I decided to have a peek at the small stall just outside Warung Najua. I found out they were selling Yong To Fu.

You basically just need to go to the stall and one friendly lady will attain you with your picks.

Varieties of Yong To fu (Wait. Isn’t this “Lok Lok”? =.=) to fill up your plate. You could have your selections of Yong To Fu either in broth (sup) or with the rojak sauce (kering).

The kering version came with a some crunched peanuts and rojak sauce. You have the option to add Kangkung to your selection too. – RM5.00.

Warung Najua , Miri .

Warung Najua or commonly chanted as Najua is a Malay establishment that serves authentic Malay delicacies.

Warung Najua is strategically located adjacent to Pujut 7 Petronas. It was quite a nice place to hangout and ideal lepaking spotted for Curtin Miri students. I did notice couple of them this evening. Curtin students who were bored with the food stalls at the nearest township, Desa Senadin, can try out at this warung which is reachable within a few minutes ride away.

Rm 4.50 Kang Kung goreng ikan masin. (Spinach with Salted Fish)

Teh Tarik.

We were very hungry at that time that we guzzled more than half of the drinks before I took a snap of it.

I’ll reveal some more picture later after I’ve sorted them. In the mean time, have a glimpse at the past postings.

October 8, 2008. I have received letter from Lego Headquarters in Denmark. The letter was to inform me about the invitation to join their Project Technic group.

This group consist of Lego Fans around the world. Group Technic will be gathering in Denmark to every year to discuss the future of Lego and the marketing prospect of the company.

My mission was to build a miniature motorbike 32cm in length.

8cm rims..

with super heavy weight look and stunning design..

66 minutes after revealing the invitation letter, my phone rang and Lego called stating that there will be a change of plan and they told me that I have to pack straight away for the next flight to Denmark.

But before I could pack up everything for the flight, another ringing from my phone.

Gosh.. the second ringing woke me up. then only I realized I had been dreaming for the pass few hours.
